The Balnacraig railway viaduct (pictured in June 1989).

This was an iconic feature of the landscape until it was demolished shortly after these pictures were taken.

The Stationmaster during war years was Mr Fowlie. In the 1950's he was moved to Aboyne Station and replaced by the Signalman Mr Kemp, pictured below as the last train left Torphins
